then Advertising is one of them. Advertising require strong people
skills, sales skills, communication skills and creativity. Individuals
in this field often work closely with a client base who can be difficult
and demanding. Continual deadlines can cause high levels of stress
and pressure. These fields can be very rewarding as well. Communication
skills are vital. Excellent copy-writing skills are a must for the
entry level advertising or PR job as well as the ability to make a
very professional presentation that is persuasive and flexible. Competition
for beginning advertising and PR jobs is intense. You must be willing
to start at the bottom and work your way up. An internship in advertising
is a must. Starting salaries are low because there are a lot of people
that want advertising jobs and the advertising companies know it.
The ability to work in a team or to perform individual excellence
is important because you will do both. This handout touches on some

National Institute of Advertising (Delhi): The institute conducts its own tests and has various courses both after plus 2 (inter) and after graduation. Rajendra Prasad Institute of Communication and Management (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan-- Its branches are there through out India): It also has its own test and the minimum qualification is Graduation. If you fit the bill then there no looking back as it is one of the best paying career in the job market today, though you will have to slog at the start and would not be paid much initially, the end result however is good. Necessary Educational Qualification: There is no such eligibility of basic education for entry level into advertising. Basic qualities like creativity and flair for writing or ability to translate ideas into a visual format are good enough for making a successful career in this field. More over those specializing in areas like management, fine arts, designing, multi media, mass communication, photography, marketing & sales have openings in the field of advertising. However, there are some institutions they provide specialized courses in advertising.
